Participants should select and prepare a 32-Bar Audition Cut to perform for the Master Class. Please ensure music is memorized and performance ready and have a working knowledge of the song/character's context within the show. Please bring music for the accompanist and have cuts cleanly marked.
PARTICIPANTS ATTIRE: Please wear clothing that is comfortable to move in. Be prepared to sit, crouch, lay, etc. if necessary-- so, no high heels, tight jeans, etc... Be prepared to engage physically.
Fort Wayne's own MANNA NICHOLS graduated from Snider High School, and has been seen on many area stages. She attended Western Michigan University (undergrad) and Oklahoma City University (masters). Manna has performed at many of the most prestigious theatres around the country, winning many accolades and awards along the way. Manna recently made her BROADWAY DEBUT in ALLEGIANCE: THE NEW AMERICAN MUSICAL along side the legendary Lea Salonga, George Takei, and Glee's Telly Leung. Regional Credits include: Eliza Doolittle in MY FAIR LADY (Arena Stage), Kim in MISS SAIGON (Walnut Street Theatre, Fulton Theatre, Starlight Theatre), Eponine in LES MISERABLES (Maine State Music Theatre, Pioneer Theatre), Sarah Brown in GUYS AND DOLLS (Goodspeed Opera House), Liat in SOUTH PACIFIC (Guthrie Theatre). Manna also serves as a master class teacher and clinician for the Theatre Department at New York University. Manna is excited for the opportunity to teach again in her hometown!
